A little about me

I’m originally from County Armagh and now live in London with my husband and miniature schnauzer, Dallas.

For a long time I have loved a retro and mid-century aesthetic, especially for the home. Since I moved into my own home in 2019, I’ve been collecting vintage items and decorating eclectically. (You can follow my home journey over on my Instagram account @renovatingretro). I love unique and colourful items that have lots of soul.

I really believe your home should be uniquely you and that decorating should be expressive and a bit of fun.

In 2022, I decided to make my passion a job, so I took the plunge and started my own homewares business; enter Weirdstock.

I love vintage bedding. The patterns, the colours, the fringing..!

But, it was common in the 1970s for homeware or clothing to be made from synthetic fibres, and *fun fact* duvet covers were a more recent invention. Even for driven vintage-hunters, it’s near impossible to get your hands on mid-century linens in mint condition or 100% cotton, and a matching sets are like gold dust!

I wanted to make a range that bridges the gap between vintage style and modern quality, while also having a minimal impact on the planet. That’s why Weirdstock specialises in 100% organic cotton bedding with a bold, retro aesthetic as well as super soft and silky, hotel-esque quality.

I'd love to connect with

I’d love to meet other small business owners in London and attend some IRL events and networking.

It would be amazing to find retail opportunities for design-led homewares products.

In addition to my core products (bedding), I also want to develop an artisanal home accessories line (cushions, throws, possibly even ceramics) and would love to connect with sourcing experts, artists and artisans who might be able to help me on this journey.
